Yes — our bags are made from cornstarch and plant-based materials (PLA + PBAT) and break down in 3–6 months, unlike plastic bags which can take centuries.
Not all “eco-friendly” poop bags are created equal.
Monty’s Bags are different. Our bags are made with certified compostable materials including cornstarch, PLA + PBAT and are designed to break down in approximately 3–6 months under appropriate composting conditions — rather than lingering like traditional plastic.
We also believe one size doesn’t fit every poop:
- 9 x 13" Large Bags — our everyday size for dogs of all breeds and sizes.
- 8 x 10" Small Bags — made for small breeds, puppies and smaller clean-ups, so you’re not using more bag than you need.
What if my city doesn’t accept compostable poop bags?
Composting rules vary by municipality, and some organic waste programs don’t accept pet waste or compostable bags. If yours doesn’t, simply dispose of your used bag in the regular garbage according to your local guidelines.

Best bag holder out there!!! We always lost the caps on those plastic pill ones. This holder is great, durable, clips on easily but sturdy so won’t fall off AND we can sneak some snacks in the holder itself
